BCA IDD and site records
Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) and site records on SpatialSense
Inspection records, progress capture and BIM comparison in one system. SpatialSense covers BCA's IDD use cases for progress monitoring, inspection follow-up, defect tracking and BIM viewing, and keeps the site records the Building Control Regulations ask for. Singapore contractors already run it on live sites.

The requirements, and where SpatialSense fits
Each row names the rule, who it applies to and what it asks for. SpatialSense helps with the first two. The last two are met by government systems or separate hardware, and SpatialSense runs alongside them.
| Requirement | Who it applies to | What it asks for | How SpatialSense helps | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Site supervision records (Building Control Regulations) | The Qualified Person on building works | Keep site records at the premises, including the site record book, attendance, inspection and approval before concreting, repairs to defective structural works and test records. | Digital inspection records with dated photos and follow-up, searchable across the project. Ask your Qualified Person how digital records should be held at the premises. | Live |
| Integrated Digital Delivery use cases (BCA) | Developers on Government Land Sales sites | Show at least five IDD use cases in an implementation plan. BCA lists 19 essential use cases for reference. | Digital progress monitoring, inspection observations and follow-up, defect tracking, and BIM and 3D viewing. | Live |
| CORENET X | Building approvals, run by BCA and URA | The regulatory route for BIM models and plans. | The submission is made in CORENET X. SpatialSense shows your BIM model on site once building is under way. | Not covered |
| Biometric productivity data (BCA) | Larger building projects | A biometric authentication system on site, with monthly data submitted to BCA. | Biometric hardware and the monthly BCA submission are handled separately from site supervision. | Not covered |

Funding for Singapore firms
BCA's Built Environment Technology and Capability (BETC) grant supports digital solutions, meaning IDD use cases and the Built Environment Industry Digital Plan categories. It is open to Singapore-registered Built Environment firms from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030. For applications submitted to 31 March 2027, it covers up to 70% of qualifying costs for SMEs and up to 50% for others. From 1 April 2027 the figures fall to 50% and 30%.
The applicant must apply through the Business Grants Portal. Third parties cannot apply on your behalf, and you must not sign a contract, pay anyone or start the work before you apply. Funding is assessed case by case and is not guaranteed.
IDD and site record questions
What is Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD)?
IDD is BCA's framework for using digital technology to integrate work processes and connect the teams on a project. BCA lists 19 essential IDD use cases for reference, and Government Land Sales sites must show at least five in an implementation plan.
Is IDD mandatory in Singapore?
Not on every project. BCA requires Government Land Sales sites to show at least five IDD use cases in an implementation plan. Elsewhere, IDD is a choice made by the client or developer.
Does SpatialSense replace the site record book?
The regulations require the Qualified Person to keep the records at the premises. SpatialSense keeps them digitally with dated photos and follow-up. Ask your Qualified Person and BCA how digital records should be held on site.
Can SpatialSense make CORENET X submissions?
No. CORENET X is the government submission route for BIM models and plans. SpatialSense is for what happens on site once building is under way.
Is SpatialSense on a pre-approved list for a Singapore grant?
No. The BETC grant has no list of approved products, so a firm applies for the project it plans to run.
Does a Singapore firm have to be a customer to apply for funding?
No. You apply for the grant first, and only then sign with a supplier. We can give you the product details your application needs.
Working to one of these requirements?
Tell us the project and the rule, and we will show you where SpatialSense fits and where it does not.
