Henry Wong on an HKU MBA panel on AI startups
Published

Henry Wong, Kodifly’s chief executive, joined a panel at HKU Business School on 26 October 2026. The session, part of the MBA programmes, was titled “AI Startups & Investment 2026: Bubbles, Moats, and Opportunities”.
What Henry argued
His point was that distribution at scale is what now decides whether a company stays ahead, including for a first-time founder. That reach has to extend beyond a single small market.
He described the next step as an open question: once a company has distribution, how it defends it. He put that question with founders, including himself, as work still to be done.
An investor and a representative from Amazon Web Services were on the same panel. The discussion was about what still protects a startup when a capable product can be copied quickly.
The following day
On 27 October, the team demonstrated SpatialSense at a booth at the university. The platform is described on the SpatialSense page.
