Henry Wong, chief executive of Kodifly, spoke at the YOUTH Got Open BIM Conference cum Award Ceremony on 30 September 2026. The conference was at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park. Kodifly also exhibited.

The event

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department organised the half-day conference. The Development Bureau was the advisor. The Construction Industry Council and buildingSMART Hong Kong, China Chapter were the co-organisers. It ran from 2 pm to 5:30 pm, on site and online, for students, young professionals and people already working in architecture, engineering and construction.

The programme lists opening remarks from the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, and the founding chair of buildingSMART Hong Kong, then an award presentation, a keynote on open BIM, and a series of sharing sessions.

Kodifly’s session

Henry’s session was “Aligning Physical Reality with Digital Intent: AI-Powered 4D LiDAR for Smart Construction and BIM Validation”.

The subject is the check between a site as it stands and the model of what was intended. A team captures the site. SpatialSense puts that capture next to the BIM model, so the difference is something the team can review. The platform is described on the SpatialSense page.

Kodifly’s booth ran with the exhibition beside the talks. On the table were a ScanStation unit, the 360 helmet camera and a laptop running the platform.
