Kodifly attended the BTRi Strategic Dialogue: Connecting Innovation to Impact on 22 July 2026. The Building Technology Research Institute hosted more than 200 people from government, academia and industry.

What happened there

BTRi signed memoranda of understanding with six partners: the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute, the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, and CMA Testing. Kodifly was in the audience.

The dialogue had three themes. One was applied research that does more than cut cost. One was standards as a route to cost and quality. One was accreditation as a way to raise trust in construction products. BTRi’s chair, Ir Hon Chi-keung, said the institute’s initiatives are projected to save HK$3.1 billion a year on construction projects.

At the same event, BTRi signed a collaboration agreement to extend its Construction Products Accreditation Scheme, and presented certificates to newly accredited manufacturers under its modular integrated construction scheme.

Why Kodifly was there

The themes sit next to the record Kodifly keeps on site: a capture of what was built, in a form a team can check. SpatialSense is described on the SpatialSense page.
